ARC Ranks #34 on Forbes top 200

The parent company of Reprographics Northwest (ARC) American Reprographics Co. has just been ranked among Forbes Magazine's Best 200 Small Companies. Last year ARC was ranked #56 and this year we moved into the #34 position. Making the list was all about our ability to perform as a business -- not a ticker symbol -- and was an affirmation of the stability, financial strength and operational excellence we have worked so hard to attain. Forbes Article
While success is reward enough, the recognition of respected third parties certainly does’t hurt.
RNW just returned from the ARC Technology Conference and we are happy to report that ARC is updating the software platform for emerging applications and updating existing online tools. The updates will enable the applications to run more efficiently and effectively for our customers. I am not sure how much we can disclose here but ARC is really pushing the new development of technical tools and digital based solutions for our customers.

Expanding our Color Services Department

Reprographics Northwest has just expanded our large format color capabilities by purchasing the Oce’ Arizona 250 GT.
The Océ Arizona 250 GT flatbed printer is based on a new Océ-developed platform that combines a true flatbed design and a separate, dedicated
roll-to-roll capability. It can print onto rigid media up to 98 inches wide x 49 inches long x 1.89 inches thick.
The optional roll-to-roll module can print onto flexible media up to 87 inches wide. The large format flatbed printer uses four-color (CMYK) UV curable inks and Océ VariaDot imaging technology with near-photographic image resolution to deliver true production print speeds (sellable prints) of 172 square feet per hour. The Océ Arizona 250 GT flatbed printer is ideal for creating outdoor point-of-purchase signage, second surface backlit displays, exhibit displays, customized real estate signs, directional signage, event signage and more. The integrated vacuum table holds media stationary while printing, eliminating the need for cumbersome jigs and extra setup time. It also provides full-bleed printing capability, which eliminates the extra finishing steps of trimming prints.

Printing Options - Remote Print, Instant Print or Enterprise Solutions?

Reprographics Northwest and their parent company American Reprographics (ARC) have been working on providing solutions for Large Document printing services for our customers. The first step was to be able to have same day delivery from our location to any of the 300+ ARC locations across the U.S. and Canada. This technique became know as Remote Printing and has been a very successful option for our customers that are working on projects outside of the state.
The next step was to be able to print directly to a large format device from the PlanWell website; this option allowed anyone with access to the site to be able to print if they owned a large format printer. As you can imagine large format printers are not easily affordable so ARC made a marketing agreement with HP (Hewlett Packard) to create a Pay-per-Use program for
our customers. This means that you no longer have to pay a monthly lease for a machine, paper or maintenance you only have to pay for the prints you create on it.
"ARC, together with HP, can significantly increase overall productivity of individuals as well as project teams with easy-to-use online document management and printing capabilities," said K. "Suri" Suriyakumar, president and CEO of American Reprographics Company. "By offering PlanWell and HP Instant Printing technology with each HP device placed in a customer's office, ARC can now offer more value and greater convenience to AEC customers of all kinds and every size." view full article
ARC also just announced another partnership with KIP IPS Systems for using PlanWell – Easy Print software on their large output devices. This software was unveiled at the International Reprographics Association Conference and Tradeshow in Las Vegas last month. Click Here to watch a video demo
