EWO or You Send It?

We’ve received a number of questions about the difference between the “You Send It” system and the “Electronic Work Order” system. Both systems can transfer files but the EWO is the preferred method.

“Electronic Work Orders”, an EWO will communicate what you want us to copy, when you want the job finished, where you want them delivered or if you’d prefer to pick them up, what kind of paper you want, binding preferences, mounting and lamination preferences…you name it. And if you have some special instructions that go above and beyond the options offered on the EWO, there is a “special instructions” section that lets you tell us exactly what you need. Towards the end of the process, you’ll attach your files and upload them with the EWO. EWOs are seen as soon as you submit them, because the system alerts our day staff and night staff that an order has just arrived.

Placing an EWO can seem daunting at first, with all of the different options, but support is only a phone call away. Also we will gladly come to your site to train your staff on how to properly use the system if you need us to. After placing an order or two, the system will become more user friendly, and soon enough it’ll be second nature to you or your staff.

“You Send It” is a simple file transfer system. It does a great job of getting files of all sizes over to us, but that’s all it does. It doesn’t tell us anything about what we need to do with those files. If you choose to use “You Send It” as a way to get your files to us, we also need you to email our customer service department to let us know what needs to be done with the files. Please keep in mind that orders submitted in the wee hours of the night will not be seen until the customer service department arrives in the morning.
